Just gorgeous Sally. I am sure your daughter will love and appreciate this.
"It is about making art with love for people you love or know will love your art. Because when you do that, the art just follows." Yes, Yes, Yes. ❤️
Your journey of abandoning your true passion whilst dealing with life's ups and downs and then the return to what your heart has been calling for for so many years. This is what all good hero/ine stories are made of. 🌟
Thank you Emily for sharing another creative inspiration. xx
Thank you for reading Jo, and for your kind comments. Making art with love for people you love really stood out for me too - the hero’s journey indeed. Much love xx
Thank you so much Kay, Its so nice when you finally know something you are making is meant to be, rather than forced or made simply for the sake of it.
Sally we have something unexpected in common; my husband had an accident which changed my life entirely a few years after we arrived in France, he too was unable to work which meant neither of us were earning because we worked together. I too had to find a job—a scary prospect in a foreign country at age 54 with zero qualifications, any age for that matter unless you have the language tucked firmly under your belt! I didn't!
I eventually found work in the local school as class assistant in the Maternelle but after a year Macron tinkered with policies and changed the rules which meant I had to look again... so I side stepped and became what I am today, teacher of children with learning difficulties. It wasn't a career choice it was necessity,
It's not easy being mum and the bread winner, You know that already though, I am certain! We do what we have to though, and we try to do it with a smile, what else is there?
Sally your book is a masterpiece! I am trying to imagine the hours of work it demanded... but I can't! WOW!! Your daughter is a lucky girl.
Dear Emily, thank you so much for sharing Sally's exquisitely beautiful creation with us, I am speechless... xoxo
