International Women's Day
What better day than to sketch some legendary women, and share again this amazing poem.
A day to celebrate la femme
In all her female glory.
What’s so great about us broads?
Well, listen to our story.
Once denied the right to vote,
To work, we were not worthy.
Then allowed, but our main task?
Eye candy for the pervy.
At last it’s known that we can be
Leaders, strategic thinkers,
Athletes, soldiers, funny, strong
Bad ass and hard core drinkers.
We wear emotions on our sleeves
And sometimes on our faces.
A throwback from our elders who
Endured corsets with laces.
We wear emotions on our sleeves
And sometimes on our faces.
A throwback from our elders who
Endured corsets with laces.
We’re super-human jugglers,
Multi-tasking to the max.
Even cramps five days a month
Won’t stop us in our tracks.
Some have had to fight the world
To be seen as a sister.
Cis or trans, we’re women all,
And equal to the mister.
Men, of course we still need you,
Each ying must have its yang.
Together, using all our strengths
We are the perfect gang.
So here’s to all before and now
That let these women ROAR!
(But know that we still don’t accept
That this fair sex can snore).

Until next time,
