Ok so now I have added alcohol markers to my shopping list - excited !Although it will definitely mean a trip into the city - disappointed - I won’t have time before classes begin on Monday! Grrrrr… especially as all my students have them and really, after reading this wonderful celebration of your wrk Meaghan I réalise, mostly they don’t know how to use them properly.
Emily this is such a wonderful share of creativity - thank you for always inspiring me! 💟xx
Haha!! Yes - everyone should have alcohol markers, I’m sure you’ll enjoy them Susie, they’re so satisfying to use 💛 I have sooooo many now though, I really need to stop buying them!

Adore Meaghan’s work. Also glad to know the marker obsession is real. As good as therapy seeing the colour stream out of the right pen. Has to be right though, right? Can’t feel wrong in the hand or have the wrong pressure. 🙈 Meaghan your art and style is just chef’s kiss.💗
Meaghan’s work is awesome isn’t it!!? I think I might have over 250 markers… 🙈 I just love the vibrant colours. You’re so right about them needing to feel right though!! I have some brush markers, which I love the sound of, but actually prefer the standard tips and I rarely use chisel tips at all..

I love your tranquil times collection Emily. Just gorgeous.
Thanks for celebrating another artist again too. To learn about Meaghan's process was interesting. Still have no idea how you visual artists do it though. Such a gift to be able to put that visual idea in your head onto paper. 💛
Thank you so much for your kind words Jo. Celebrating creatives like Meaghan is something I love, I’m glad you found her process interesting. The way each artist translates their vision to paper is such a unique journey, and I agree, it’s always fascinating to learn how others bring their ideas to life. It’s always lovely seeing you here in the comments 💛
Haha!! Yes that is the tricky part!! I used to keep them sacred, but recently succumbed and let my 10 year old use them sometimes, but only with strict instructions to treat them with care and put them away afterwards 😂🤣
Lol same - when my 8 yr old is working on somerhing "really important" she gets to use my special markers, otherwise they live at the top shelf of my bookcase

I always enjoy Meaghan's art. I could totally relate to her Slurpee drawing--my dad owned a 7-Eleven while I was growing up. 😊
Omg! My dream would have been unrestricted access to the slurpee machine!
Lol, I did have many free Slurpees! But sometimes I had to earn it by pricing candy bars and facing merchandise. 😂 💕
🤣
I love and hoard markers of all sorts… they make my heart happy!!
Haha!! Yep me too. I have sooo many. Probably more than required but they’re so colourful!! 🌈
they pretty much demand to be purchased, right??
Haha like marker dragons sitting on out colourful piles
Breathing fire the colour of the rainbow if anyone uses them and doesn’t put them back!!! 😂
Lol!
This came at a perfect time for me as I have been enjoying markers lately 😄 It really is a fun medium to use
They’re in your latest newsletter and they’re fab!!! Love them so much 💛✨
Thank you! I’m really hyped with how good they turned out to be (for a beginner)
they are sooooo good!
That’s so cool Gabby! Would love to see some of your creations! ✨
I’m so used to old cheap markers 😂. This seems like a lovely new medium to try!
They’re a lot of fun Mika, definitely worth giving them a go! 💛✨

Oh wow! Thats super interesting cus I am such a brush fan
I think it’s maybe because I used hard tip markers first and go so used to them that using brush markers didn’t feel as comfortable
Oh boy, and now I have to go in search of alcohol markers to add to my collection of color pencils. Thank you Emily and Meaghan for inspiring me.
Happy colouring Klamo!
Thank you! It can be so relaxing.

Thanks for the inspiration! Now I need alcohol markers, and I need to find ways to hide them away from the kids…
