There are moments and memories, stories and songs between the blades of grass and on the underside of the leaves, inside the flowers and dancing in the wind.
Ohhh, what a beautiful story! It really touched me, especially as only recently I understood I have always been a bit afraid of the dark, though I love to look at the stars and dark wintery skies. Next time when I wake up and feel a bit of fear I try to remember Nox.
I’m going to fall asleep with your wise and beautifully gentle story whispering into my dreams Emily… simply perfect telling including all my favorite animals too - I loved this!🌷✨
This post brought tears to my eyes - Nox's mother has wise words indeed! What a wonderful and beautiful story of the embrace of night. (Which I am sure would make the most lovely book for children.)
Although I did not share your fears of the dark during childhood, for many adult years now I wake suddenly almost every night in complete panic, my subconscious telling me of danger, danger, all around, and something I have forgotten to do, something vital - it is alarming and despite happening so regularly still hard to settle afterwards in the dark of pre-dawn, but I love so much these glimpses of the night-life of creatures around us, and of the darkness being a blessing to them.

This is so beautiful! I think the night-blooming tulip had the extra magic you were looking for. It all came together perfectly!
After lots of fear these past few days, I’ve now got your beautiful Nox set to Homescreen. 🧚🏼♀️🥹🪄🙏🏻
