Hi Emily - this is a lovely idea. I wanted to share this piece I wrote about a photography exchange I did with a friend. I am a big fan of ways photography can bring creativity into our everyday and loved this exchange.

I love a good celebration of making things! Thanks for doing this.

My Substack is called Good and Beautiful Things. Each post usually includes my art but I also made a subsection of the newsletter called Creative Possibilities. I share what’s on my art desk and encourage others to get creative.

Here’s a post from a few months ago on why I make things:

I'm excited to see what you're planning to do with this celebration! Circling back around to leave one more link option that might be a good fit. It seemed to offer a new wave a creative freedom to readers this week! https://aimeeguest.substack.com/p/ish

Hi Emily here I am thanks to Mika’s post! What I do … hmmm write about the impact of intuitive painting and intuitive drawing in my life and how it can impact others and more! I like to share bits of my endeavours as Notes but also posts when I have more time. Happy to answer any questions!

Hi Emily - Mika from Musings by Mika sent me over to your page - I don't consider myself to be artistic, but I do a lot of collaging and I also love neurographic art. Here's a link to a blog post (not on my Substack because it's a bit older) that has been very popular on what neurographic art is and it includes some of my work.... https://www.crestingthehill.com.au/2022/01/what-is-neurographic-art.html Cheers Leanne (https://leannecrestingthehill.substack.com/)

Hi Emily, thank you for creating such a great community. I am a visual person with a curious mind, loving to explore the small beauties in everyday life through the lens of color, as well as the history and science behind them. As a DIY enthusiast, I love all things creative. Doodling, knitting, sewing, and creating something by repurposing or upcycling are my favorites.

What a sweet invitation! Thank you 🥰 I just launched an art magazine Petronella.Art a couple of weeks ago which is a first row seat to view my art practise so there are several posts already, though this one sums it all up pretty well according to your call;

“why bother about creativity?”

Hi Emily

Here's one from me about sketching and watercolour on a bike tour complete with video (very amateur I hasten to add), plenty of notes too on the profile.

What a lovely idea! It’s great to discover some new artists commenting here already. I write the creative prescription which is all about how I use art as a tool for wellbeing in my own life after many dark days. And hope to inspire others to use creativity for their wellbeing too. This is one of my favourite posts about one of my least favourite drawing and what it taught me about overwhelm. https://open.substack.com/pub/georgiestclair/p/overriding-overwhelm?r=aoepu&utm_medium=ios
